Welcome to the twenty-sixth annual conference for the Society for Computers in Psychology. This year marks a continuation of the theme focusing on the Internet as a tool for psychology. In particular there are sessions on the World-Wide Web and how the Internet can be used as an experimental tool. However, the focus on the Internet is just an emblem of the increasing role that computers play in professional psychology. This increasing importance of computers in psychology can be seen in the session on computers in teaching, research, modeling, and in clinical practice.
